Pharco participated in the conference held by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in Addis Ababa on November 21, 2019. A high-level meeting of policymakers, regulators and industry experts in the field of pharmaceuticals in Africa, to discuss all possible ways and strategies to reduce the cost of medicines and healthcare in order to address endemic diseases on the continent, which represents 25% of the world’s burden of disease, although they are treatable and could be prevented with timely access to appropriate and affordable medicines.
