Pharco's leadership combines the founding vision of Dr. Hassan Helmy with the pharmaceutical and operational expertise of the next generation. The Pharco leadership team oversees a 13-company group spanning manufacturing, R&D, distribution and international expansion, keeping the corporation rooted in its founding values while driving a clear agenda for global growth, scientific capability, and pharmaceutical leadership in MENA and beyond.

Dr. Sherine Helmy

Dr. Sherine Helmy brings 40 years of pharmaceutical industry experience across Egypt, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States. He serves as Chairman of Pharco Corporation and Pharco Pharmaceutical International (KSA), and as a Board Member of Batterjee Pharmaceuticals (KSA).

A pioneer of Egypt's pharmaceutical chemical industry, Dr. Helmy led the development of a hepatitis C treatment produced at 0.1% of the international cost with a 98% cure rate, a milestone with lasting national and global health impact. Under his leadership, Egypt achieved several first-of-their-kind milestones, including the country's first GMP-compliant API manufacturing facility.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Alexandria University, an MBA from AAST in collaboration with Central Michigan University, and a DBA from AAST. He is widely regarded as one of Egypt's most influential business leaders.
