Pharco Signs Strategic MOU With Cleopatra Hospitals Group at Africa Health ExCon 2025
Pharco signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Cleopatra Hospitals Group on the sidelines of Africa Health ExCon 2025, held June 24 to 27 in Cairo. In announcing the deal, Pharco described the goal as enhancing access to intensive care and oncology treatments, pairing the company's pharmaceutical manufacturing with Cleopatra's hospital network to expand the availability of advanced therapies, improve treatment outcomes, and support sustainable healthcare infrastructure in the region.
Africa Health ExCon, now in its fourth edition, drew more than 40,000 participants and over 350 exhibiting companies to the Egypt International Exhibition Center that year, with a new AI pavilion covering diagnostics, hospital automation, and epidemic prediction. The Pharco-Cleopatra agreement was one of several partnerships Pharco signed on the sidelines of the event.
Cleopatra Hospitals Group describes itself as Egypt's largest private hospital group. The MOU adds to a run of partnership agreements under Pharco chairman Sherine Helmy, who took the role in January 2024; the year before, Pharco subsidiary Techno Pharma signed an agreement with Pathfinder International to support USAID-backed family planning and women's health programmes in Egypt.
