Dr. Gamal Esmat, a hepatology professor at Cairo University and WHO viral hepatitis expert, presented research findings on the high virologic response rate in Egyptian HCV-genotype 4 patients treated with Ravidasvir (PPI-668) and Sofosbuvir. The presentation featured results from a large multicenter phase 3 registrational trial.

Dr. Esmat represented Pharco and became the first Arab to present at the closing ceremony, where the major treatment protocols for the upcoming years are agreed upon.
